With the industry transition from analog to digital, it is often best to print by digital means. The new digital papers available are hard to distinguish from darkroom papers. In most cases a digital print will outlast an analog print. In many cases the quality will surpass an analog print. Most of my work was captured on film and I continue to capture that way primarily. Most B & W film captured images can still be printed by analog means at request as long as suitable materials are available. There are a few that I only print digitally. Also there are quite a few images that are size limited at my discretion.
Each print comes with a Statement of Authenticity which indicates the way the image was captured and printed, dates of capture and printing along with file numbers and a thumbnail of the image. The statement is fixed to the back of the mount, signed and dated by me. My work is numbered, but I do not limit editions.
All prints are archivally dry mounted on 4 ply cotton rag board and over-matted with 4 ply cotton rag. I do not sell prints with frames, leaving that choice and even the over-mat to the discretion of the buyer if they wish to change it. 16x20 is the size limit for analog prints. Many of the color images were originally printed on Ilfochrome (Cibachrome). I no longer print on analog color papers. I choose instead to scan the original negative or transparency and print on archival inkjet materials.
